A recent update from Billie Jean King clearly showed how every achievement a woman makes in the world is so personal to her. She recently posted about how Joanna Geraghty became the first woman CEO of a major US airline called Jet Blue. Mentioning powerful stats, King celebrated the news hoping to see more such advancements.

She posted, “Joanna Geraghty is making history as the first woman CEO of a major U.S. airline Jet Blue. Globally, women hold only 10% of C-suite positions and make up 3% of airline CEOs, most of them outside the U.S. Here’s to increasing women in leadership positions in 2024.”

Of course, after spending so many years empowering women in sports and otherwise, achievements like these mean a lot to her. That is why she shares joy in these moments. Not just that, she also had another women-oriented celebration to enjoy today when a city council announced the list of its members composed only of women.
