Australian Open 2022 has reached its fourth round of matches. The tournament has completed around 200 singles matches that have birthed some interesting stats. Top Seed Ashleigh Barty is part of more than one record that has already been set in AO 2022.

Simona Halep has a high success rate in her return games, winning 18 out of 25. It is an incredible 72% win percentage for the World number 15. On the other hand, Victoria Azarenka leads the tournament in 2nd serve return, winning 75% of her returns.
Madison Keys is currently leading the chart for Ladies’ singles aces count. Also, Iga Swiatek leads all the 4th round ladies players in 2nd serve wins. She has an impressive 65% winning rate behind her 2nd serve.

Swiatek is also leading in return points won against the opponent’s 1st serve. She has a 53% success rate in it while Simona Halep and Ashleigh Barty join her with similar stats in 1st serve returns.

Notably, Ashleigh Barty will take on Amanda Anisimova, who defeated the defending champion Naomi Osaka in 3rd round fixture. Ash also leads the Australian Open ladies with her amazing 84% win rate in points behind her first serve. Barty, after her second round win, explained her idea behind big 1st serves as she expressed, “I think I’ve just been able to find some good rhythm and a big part of that is protecting my second serve when I need to do as well.”
