Martina Navratilova recently shifted her focus to Elon Musk but for a completely different reason than he is gaining attention for. It was regarding how he pronounced “De facto”. Martina took to her Twitter and stated, “Am I the only one who cares that Musk has no clue how to pronounce DE FACTO?”

When further asked on how it should be pronounced, she stated, “It is Latin-so Deh Fukto (with or without the C) would be the proper pronunciation”.

Elon Musk is originally from South Africa, and therefore the accent differs greatly from the American one. It is mainly because South African English follows the British format instead of the American one. He has stayed in the USA for more than 30 years.
