A fan brought up the name of another Russian tennis player, Daria Kasatkina. They stated that either she or Badosa could play Sharapova in a biopic.

Fans have compared the striking physical similarities of Badosa and Sharapova quite often. When she was as young as 18, fans of the sport saw similarities between the two.
