The 52-year-old Australian tennis coach, even after retirement, follows tennis thoroughly. And after watching the Cincinnati Masters, she has made one thing clear regarding Alycia Parks’ serve technique. While the 22-year-old American tennis player and her doubles’ partner Taylor Townsend lifted the doubles victory, Stubbs, in her podcast show, The Rennae Stubbs Tennis Podcast, compared herself with the 41-year-old tennis legend’s serve.
She said, “Her serve is, I’m telling you, when they’re coming at me… Oh my god, it’s like Serena peak, that’s how good her serve is when it goes in. I’m telling you, she’s a potential top-10 player within the next 12 months. She’s got to keep, obviously, the body healthy. She’s a strong girl, really wants it, she has a great head on her shoulders.”
Along with highlighting how Parks displayed a similar serve to that of the 23-time Grand Slam champion, she also highlighted how she has the talent to reach the top-ranking positions in the WTA world, giving tough competition to other tennis players.
