Everything fans need to know about the parents and family of Ashleigh Barty
Ashleigh Barty was born on April 24, 1996. Her father, Robert Barty, used to work for the State Library in Queensland, Australia. On the other hand, Barty’s mother, Josie Barty, is a radiographer and still practices her profession. Interestingly, her mother has connections with England as she is the daughter of English immigrants.
Apart from her parents, Barty also has two elder sisters, Sara and Ali. Like her father, she also grew up in Springfield, Queensland, and went to Woodcrest State College.

Besides tennis, Barty had a keen interest in netball while growing up. However, after starting playing tennis at the age of four, she chose the sport as her professional career.
Intriguingly, her parents were the ones who introduced her to her longtime junior coach, Jim Joyce, at the West Brisbane Tennis Centre. When she was 15-years-old, former professional player, Jason Stoltenberg, became her coach for some time.
She is currently dating a golf player, Gary Kissick. The Australian has been her boyfriend for more than three years now and began his career on the PGA Tour over a decade ago.
