Winning a grandslam is a dream for every tennis player. However, only a few players get to experience that feeling. Even though a number of them come close to that spot, they mostly fail to taste the ultimate glory. At least the ongoing Australian Open 2022 brought the same story for Alize Cornet.
Alize recently expressed her feelings on the same. The world number 61 reached her career’s first quarter-final of a grand slam at the Australian Open 2022. Even though she lost to 27th seed Danielle Collins, she extended her respect towards all the grand slam winners.

Eternal respect for all the winners

Cornet, who obviously seemed to be disappointed by her performance, took this question with utmost grace. Having her best grand slam performance till date, she conveyed huge respect towards all winners.

Alize Cornet sees a halt in her dream run at the Australian Open
Alize Cornet started off her Melbourne Park campaign with a straight-set win in the first round. Playing like a storm, she stunned the 3rd seed Garbine Muguruza in straight sets in the next round. Playing at her top form, she went on to beat 27th seed Tamara Zidansek and 14th seed Simona Halep in the 3rd and the 4th round respectively.
