It all started when Richard Williams’ former wife Lakeisha allegedly forged his signature on the title deeds of their childhood home. Serena Williams’ father purchased the mansion in Florida when he was married to his former wife, Oracene. The property was purchased by him at an estimated cost of $355,000 in 1995. Since then, the entire Williams family including all the sisters have cherished that place as an important part of their childhood.

However, they are now involved in a lengthy legal battle after Lakeisha used title deeds of the property to borrow a huge amount. A “hard lender,” named Simon later sued her when he found out about the “shambolic” conditions of the property. He further wants the mansion to be auctioned off claiming Lakeisha barely paid a dollar back to him.

Meanwhile, ‘King’ Richard is ailing with some health issues according to his son Chavoita Lesane. It is being reported that Richard ‘secretly’ underwent brain surgery after suffering two strokes. It is his son, Lesane who is been looking after him. Richard has been in a tough phase amidst the ongoing legal drama with his former wife.

Despite all the bankruptcy drama, Lakeisha is trying to claim that she can repay the borrowed amount in a five-year repayment plan. However, the lender wants the property to be sold considering its conditions.
