Braids and Beads

Gauff used to be a sucker for braids. In an interview in 2019, after her rise to fame, Gauff explained why she loves braids. “My hair is usually in braids,” she told The Gloss. “I like my hair, but braids are just easier. Especially when I sweat—when my hair isn’t in braids, the salt from my sweat dries out [my hair].” She had braids for the entirety of her 2019 season.
