Maria Sharapova, the tennis star, retired in the year 2020 after engraving her name on the list of tennis legends forever. Sharapova has some splendid records to her name as well. Additionally, she is also one of the ten women and only Russian to win a Career Grand Slam.

However, the five-time Grand Slam champion hasn’t restricted herself to tennis, only she is an accomplished businesswoman as well. From investing in businesses to owning a business, she has done it all.

Maria Sharapova With Therabody

Just after she announced her retirement, former world no.1 signed a deal as an investor with Therabody. She nodded upon becoming the strategic advisor to help the brand reach the global market. Recently, Maria posed for one of their products and stated, “Aging to me is very beautiful. It showcases the ebbs and flaws of your entire life.” Her statement later got included in the product’s advertisement cover.

Following the lunch of the product, Sharapova expressed her gratitude towards the team which worked with her on the product and wrote, “Thank you to the A-team behind this campaign.”

Therabody earlier known as Theragun made it big with their very first massage equipment. Afterward, the company expanded its range of products by adding other high-end massage-related variants with the help of investors, such as Sharapova.

Sharapova’s Investments

Maria Sharapova is an all rounder. Be it her tennis or her investments ventures, she has aced every field. The Russian’s first steps to the business world were the deals she signed with sponsor companies like Nike and Porsche. Following that, she took a big step and invested in companies such as Tonal, Supergoop, and Therabody.

Although almost every venture of hers proved fruitful, she didn’t put breaks on her investments. Instead, Sharapova devoted her entire time to it post her retirement.

Recently she bought stakes in a crypto and stock exchange platform named Public.com. Further, she owns a high-end candy brand that runs by the name of Sugarpova and banks an annual profit of $20 million.
