Gauff shines in the highest-paid female athletes list

The list of Sportico’s highest-paid female athletes of the year is out, and this time it’s not Serena Williams or Naomi Osaka who have topped the list. With an estimated earnings of $23 million, the 19-year-old has taken the new number one spot, leaving Iga Swiatek and Eileen Gu behind.

After capturing her first Grand Slam title this year, she received an amazing bonus from her sponsor partners, including New Balance and Head. In addition, the third-ranked tennis player retrieved her contract with the shoe company last year and made it one of the richest deals in the women’s game that carries an extension of more than 5 years, making her the only active tennis player who has her signature tennis sneakers.
