The adorable bond between Coco Gauff and her boyfriend Jalen Sera always finds a way to surface publicly, even though they try to keep it private. It was just a day ago that Sera showered praise on Gauff for her stunning look at the Oscars. Like everyone else, he was also mesmerized by that yellow Miu Miu Gown of the 2023 US Open champion. “THE star. Like, come on man,” Sera wrote in his Instagram story, sharing Gauff’s picture. Coco’s response? Well, she was always going to return the favor and in kind. After all, it’s her “first real relationship.”
On her Instagram story, dated March 4, Gauff put up a post by Sera showcasing his daily routine. The Atlanta-born musician and actor happened to spend his day with a mix of art and music. In the pictures, one can spot a colorful mess of brushes and different palettes. Sera probably also enjoyed some good food in between. Then, there’s another picture where he seems to be working with his preferred musical equipment. Now, that’s not a bad way to spend your day, is it?
But before that, on March 3, Sera had his own fanboy moment with Gauff. He was simply stunned to see the World No. 3 in that attractive yellow gown at the 97th Academy Awards event, which was held at the Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles.

Sharing a post on her IG account, Gauff wrote, “Moments before arriving to the #oscars ✨💫.” Later, talking to the Canadian writer, Amelia Dimoldenberg, about her experience at the Oscars, the 20-year-old remarked, “It was a lot. Hair, makeup, the whole ‘do. I play tennis, so I’m not used to this glam, but it’s nice to get dressed for the day.”

Oh, and Gauff even brought her mom Candi to the prestigious event. She wore a one-shouldered shimmery metallic floor-length. “Love being the plus one!!!!” Mama Gauff wrote on Instagram as well.
However, after enjoying the glamorous night, it’s time for Gauff to get back to tennis. She later shared another Instagram story with an image from the court, indicating that she’s working hard to regain her lost form at the BNP Paribas Open at the Indian Wells this week.

Coco Gauff looks to find the winning momentum at the 2025 BNP Paribas Open
With the way she finished the last season, clinching the WTA Finals in Riyadh, the expectations were high with Coco Gauff for the new season as well. Initially, it seemed she was carrying the momentum alright, as she guided Team USA to the second consecutive United Cup title. But the season quickly turned into a bit of a nightmare for the 20-year-old.
At the Australian Open, she was ousted in the QF round by the Spaniard Paula Badosa. And her poor run continued during the Middle East swing. In Doha, Marta Kostyuk eliminated her in the first round, with a score line of 6-2, 7-5. If that wasn’t enough, Gauff faced another setback in Dubai, where compatriot McCartney Kessler ousted her in R32 with a scoreline of 6-4, 7-5.
Going into the BNP Paribas Open, Coco will have a lot to prove. She will be looking to improve her record at this Masters event. Speaking of her appearances at the Indian Wells in recent years, the American sensation was eliminated in the first round back in the 2022 edition after losing to Simona Halep. In 2023, she reached the QF stage before crashing out with a loss against the current World number 1, Aryna Sabalenka.
