Kim Clijsters is clearly having a hard time staying away from Tennis. She is a mother of three children and always seizes the opportunity to return to the game. Ever since she retired for the first time at 23, she kept returning to the professional court. The Belgian champion ensured she was always associated with Tennis, irrespective of her retirement.?

She started ?Kim Clijsters Academy? in the town she grew up. Her academy in Bree, Belgium, opened in June 2019 but closed in July 2022 due to a global pandemic that led to a financial crisis. Recently, she announced another comeback to the court through her Instagram.?

It is difficult to stay away from the love of your life. For Clijsters, it is Tennis. After announcing her retirement last year, she is now all set to play on the hard court in Luxembourg Ladies Tennis Masters. She won the title last year and chose the perfect time to claim it again.

The official account of Luxembourg Ladies Tennis Masters released a video of Clijsters announcing her comeback. She said,?…I am really, really excited to come back to Luxembourg and to try to defend my title. I am joining with great great female Tennis players/champions. It?s going to be really tough to try and win the title again. But we look forward to seeing you there and come and support us??

The ‘Tennis Mama’ stays active on Instagram by updating fans about her happenings in life. After she retired the previous time, she devoted her life to the family, especially to cater to the needs of her three children. Now that her children had grown up and she moved to New Jersey, she decided to give Tennis another go.

Clijsters made her professional debut in 1999 and won a total of 41 singles titles and 11 doubles titles. They include three US Open Titles in Singles and one in Australian Open. She also bagged the titles of Wimbledon and the French Open in Doubles, both with her partner Ai Sugiyama.

The honorary president of the ?International Tennis Hall of Fame? retired for the first time in May 2007 owing to her father?s illness. She returned in 2009, played till 2012, and retired, stating it was her last time. As we all know, she couldn?t stay away and started again in 2020, only to quit in 2022 due to a knee injury and the spread of the deadly virus.?

After her previous retirement, the four-time Grand Slam winner expressed, ?My passion for tennis will never leave no matter what I do. I feel a very big need to give back to tennis because I?ve gotten so much out of it.? The hard-working and determined mother stands by her word and continues to her all back to Tennis.?
