The tech titan, in his reel, expressed that if people get a tattoo of the design on their bodies, it is a winning sign. He said, “This, for me, is the highest bar of success. If you can create something that is a consumer brand that people love so much they want a tattoo on their bodies forever, you’re winning. You’re doing something right.”

He continued, “And I knew pretty early in Reddit that we were working with something special.” A tattoo can sound strange, but the experience of the 40-year-old says otherwise. Interestingly, the internet entrepreneur also backed his theory with an incident that happened in the initial days of developing Reddit.

Alexis Ohanian shares his ‘tattoo’ experience, which assured his success

The American angel investor narrated the tale of a person who got the logo of Reddit tattooed on his body. He shared, “… A guy named Fernando Takai got the Reddit alien. It was actually a Jedi version that I designed. He got his Jedi Snoo tattooed on his body, and he posted on Flickr, and I’ll never forget it.”

Ohanian said that this happened early – around six months to a year into Reddit. Seeing this, he felt they had managed to build something that people cared about deeply; some people loved the design so much that they permanently tattooed it on their bodies.
