The Russian-Ukraine conflict has become a crucial topic in today’s time. Recently, Russian singer and performer Alla Pugacheva opted to stand against her home country and support Ukraine, condemning the conflict. Subsequently, Navratilova took to Twitter to praise the singer.

The tennis legend retweeted the tweet of a political strategist and captioned the it, “Wow- a brave woman!!!” This was not the first time the former world number one has supported other personalities.
The 65-year-old has openly criticized the Russian president Vladimir Putin in the past and has shown her support for Ukrainian tennis players as well.

Navratilova’s outstanding career
Martina made her professional tennis debut back in 1974. She has a total of 59 grand slam victories in her career, which includes 18 singles, 31 doubles and 10 mixed doubles. The former world number one won her first grand slam in the year 1978.

The 65-year-old has broken various records on the tennis courts. She also held on to the number one position in WTA ranking for a massive 332 weeks.
