Fans react to shockingly cheap ticket prices for WTA Finals matches

Texas is hosting the WTA Finals this year. The ticket prices are out. What surprised everyone is the fact that the fans are least interested in watching the matches of top female tennis players in the world. Even though two of the eight players, Jessica Pegula and Coco Gauff, are from America. As a result, the WTA has reduced ticket prices for the matches. Here’s how the fans reacted to it.

Another fan questioned the scheduling of the event in Texas.

A fan came up with a unique solution for the situation.

“It’s ridiculous they held the event in Texas, of all places. Hardly renowned for their love of tennis. Hardly going to attract worldwide visitors,” another fan wrote.

Taking a dig at the demand for similar prize money for both male and female players, a fan taunted, “But they get the similar prize money right? How do the economics work here?”
