American tennis legend Venus Williams has mastered many hard strokes on the tennis court. With years of experience and grit, there’s hardly any shot in the book the elder Williams sister hasn’t tried yet on the court. However, there’s one shot both Venus and Novak Djokovic find extremely difficult to master.

In a recent video, the 42-year-old spoke in detail about the same. Here’s the full conversation.

Venus Williams and Novak Djokovic have a common weakness

In her recent YouTube video, former world number one Venus Williams was in conversation with her coach, Eric Hechtman. The duo also discussed the shot Venus finds most difficult. Speaking of the shot, Venus said, “The hardest shot is for sure serving.”
“The least effective shot, one hand backhand topspin. I’ve never really tried to learn. I just play around every Blue Moon and hit one like Aaah. It’s fun. But actually I never really go after it. I am afraid of doing something crazy,” Venus said.

Surprisingly, the same shot is the weakness of another outstanding player. It’s none other than 21-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic. The Serb always found it difficult to hit the overhead shot. In an old video that resurfaced recently, while training a couple of young players, tennis legend Boris Becker jokingly claims that Novak Djokovic has the weakest smash in the top 100.

The two of them surely missed out on mastering this aspect of tennis. However, it was not enough to restrict them from making it big at the top stage of professional tennis.

Djokovic’s kids are fans of Venus

Having one of the world’s greatest-ever tennis players at home, Djokovic’s family also has another tennis great they admire. It’s Venus Williams. The 42-year-old is someone Djokovic’s family admires, and they had their fan moment earlier this year in London.

While Djokovic had his family with him as he won the Wimbledon championship in 2022, Venus Williams was there to support her sister, Serena Williams. Here, Djokovic’s kids and wife met?the seven-time Grand Slam champion.
