Although it has now been months after her retirement, Serena fans still love to go back to her accolades from time to time. One such nostalgic post for Serena fans is now viral on Reddit where Serena’s 2003 Australian Open win is the topic of discussion. The finalists for the women’s category were the power duo, Serena and Venus, facing each other. The match ultimately resulted in Serena’s big win. This was her first Australian Open win and it finally got her all four Grand Slams in her kitty.

Fans were quick to point out that Serena’s sister Venus was the final opponent in the Grand Slam final.

In 2023, Venus’ participation in the AO was highly awaited. Sadly she drew out of the tournament owing to injuries.
