This is not the first time that Martina has confessed to her admiration for the EGOT winner. Back in January, this year, Martina revealed that listening to Viola’s audio biography was one of her favorite things to do. The tennis Hall of Famer also added that meeting Davis is on her bucket list.
Earlier, even in July 2022, Martina shared her excitement over Viola’s look for her movie, The Woman King. The movie was based on real-life occurrences in Africa in the 18th and 19th centuries.

On the other hand, Davis and Beyonce both are overwhelmed by receiving the EGOT status. Davis said that she “wrote this book to honor the six-year-old Viola, to honor her, her life, her joy, her trauma, everything.” That it finds acceptance and love from even the most brutally honest celebrities, is surely something Davis will enjoy.
