No doubt, the 41-year-old tennis star is the most dominant player in the Open Era, with 23 Grand Slam titles to her name. Which is the second highest in the sport regardless of gender. Notably, with 73 victories, she is the fifth-highest WTA singles title champion.
LeBron James admires Serena Williams
On the latest episode of the Shop, the Laker’s star talked about Serena’s impact in the sporting world in detail and praised Williams by stating that “she broke so many barriers.” Further, he referred to her as a powerful black woman who has made an enormous impact on both the sport and society at large.
While talking about the tennis star’s impact on the sports culture and what she has done, King James said, “I mean, just from a dominance standpoint, from a Black girl of power standpoint, with the influence that she has and community for little Black girls, for Black boys as well just trying to be anything in life.”

Further, he discussed her notable accomplishments on the court and her status as a sporting icon despite significant challenges. He added, “I mean, she broke so many barriers, especially in a sport, for our color, that wasn’t looked at.”
Williams is nothing without her elder sister
In the same conversation, the NBA star continued by saying that both the Williams sisters are like rock and that they are different from other sibling duos. Rather than fighting, they showed what siblings can do together. Talking about the same, he recalled Williams saying, “Serena is nothing without Venus.”
