The wrestling world has seen many power fighters fight out in the ring. These fighters have often cited legendary tennis players as their inspiration and motivational tool. Recently, the fighter, Claressa Shields compared her future match to Venus and Serena Williams playing at the Wimbledon finals.
Shields is considering a rematch with undisputed middleweight champion Franchon Crews-Dezurn. Shields had defeated Crews-Dezurn by unanimous decision in her debut pro fight in Las Vegas. Just like the powerful serves of Serena Williams, Shields has decided to raise her boxing to the upper echelons.

Serena Williams has set a benchmark for all athletes
Serena Williams, through her motherhood and fierce matches, has inspired a whole new group of women. She motivates them to pursue athletics despite the obstacles they will inevitably face. The boxing legend, Claressa Shields, has self-declared herself the GWOAT (Greatest Woman of All Time).
With a record of 362 Grand Slam wins and 23 Grand Slam singles titles, Serena has inspired women of all ages since her professional tennis debut in 1995. Recently, the boxing legend, Shields referred to her matches with the Grand Slam champion’s wins. Shields tweeted, ” Cause that’s like having Serena Williams Vs Venus Williams play for Wimbledon! Just in a boxing ring for all our belts! I said what I said and I mean it!”

Shields is the only boxer in history, female or male, to hold all four major world titles in boxing—WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO—simultaneously, in three weight classes. Similarly, the former World No 1 is the only player in tennis history to win all four majors and Olympics during her exemplary career in singles and doubles.

She won the Grand Slam 23 times, seven times at the Australian Open, three times at the French Open, seven times at Wimbledon and another six times at the US Open.
Shields dons another win to her name
Clarissa Shields defeated long-time rival Savannah Marshall in an impressive 10, 2-minute rounds. Two legends, whose bitter rivalry goes back 10 years, battled for the undisputed middleweight title in London on a historic night for women’s boxing. The exhibition is the first all-female fighters event in the UK.
