Knowing that tennis is definitely not going to be the sport where he takes down Serena Williams, he is definitely hoping it to be golf. However, reality hit him quite hard, and now he is focusing on restoring his pride.

As he takes a step towards revolutionizing golf with Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, he hopes to improve his game too. In fact, he is dreaming big and hopes to take down his wife, Serena Williams, as well.

Alexis Ohanian focuses on pride recovery after a smashing golf defeat by Serena Williams 

The Reddit co-founder has a newfound love for golf. Consequently, he was hoping to become the ace of it in his home. But in the moment of passion, he forgot the athletic genes in the family lie with his wife and not him.

In an interview with KTLA 5 Morning News, he stated, “I don’t know if you could exactly call this a push present for my wife, but wanted to make it a family affair.” Consequently, he saw the opportunity to spend quality time with his family. Ohanian stated, “I thought, ‘Hey, this could be a fun date experience for us to learn golf together.”

He added, “I learned very quickly though. Those swinging stick skills apparently carry over really well.” After last time’s reality check, he is quite shaken up by how he is the worst golfer in the family. However, Ohanian is all set with a plan to improve his game. He stated, “My pride still recovering. Don’t tell her but my plan is to start taking lessons on the side.”

So, now as he announced the launch of his team Los Angeles Golf Club, the first team of TGL, he hopes to recover his pride too.

Olympia plays better golf than Ohanian

Earlier, when the duo started taking golf lessons together, he realized Williams is much better than him. And if that was not enough, after seeing his daughter, he faced a severe blow to his pride. He saw Olympia doing even better.

Olympia became Ohanian’s inspiration. She had developed a liking for miniature gold. And now, Ohanian has made the sport a family affair.
