British F1 racing legend Lewis Hamilton booked another incredible victory to his name at the Brazilian Grand Prix. Despite getting a 25 place grid penalty over two days, he came through and finished 10+ seconds before Belgian-Dutch racer Max Verstappen. Over this sensational triumph, Hamilton received praises from across the world, including Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian. Indeed, the Mercedes driver set a new example in overcoming adversities.

Notably, both Serena and her husband Alexis are ardent Hamilton fans. So much so, they even had come to cheer for the seven-time world champion during the United States GP. Then, Hamilton had finished second, but the couple knew he would get through in the races ahead. And he did.

Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian congratulates Lewis Hamilton on Brazilian GP win

After the Russian GP win in September, Hamilton had been waiting to return to the top of the podium. Remarkably, he accomplished the task in Sao Paulo, producing one of the greatest races in F1 history.

Afterward, F1’s official Twitter account posted the 36-year-old’s picture with the Brazilian flag on top of the podium. On that, the Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian wrote, “Top of the podium looks good on you, friend.”

Furthermore, when tennis queen Serena‘s husband learned about the odds Hamilton came through, he hailed the Mercedes driver. In addition, Alexis also explained why Hamilton is one of the greats.

“No pressure no diamonds. Greats thrive against all odds,” Ohanian tweeted. No doubt, this victory from the Englishman will go down in history as one of his favorites.

All in all, Hamilton is still second in the F1 standings behind his rival Max Verstappen. Only time will tell if he turns this around, becoming a record-breaking eighth-time world champion.
