First and foremost, Serena disclosed how excited she was to be part of Aston Martin’s return to the tracks after six decades. “It’s really amazing to be here,” she said. “And knowing that it’s been 61 years for Aston Martin hasn’t been in the racing; it’s pretty amazing.”

Furthermore, the 39-year-old said she admired the mental fortitude needed in the sport, calling it ‘one of a kind.’ She also lauded the sheer athleticism of the people. But more than anything, Serena loves the F1 vibe and its fans.

“I love the spirit of the people, the vibe, the fans, you know, it’s such a diverse crowd,” Serena added. “I mean, you see people from literally from around the world, and everyone really has this sort of passion for Formula One. So, it’s always good to be here, especially in Monaco.”

Following that, the four-time Olympic Gold medallist talked about her favorite part, the design. Notably, Serena has her fashion brand and jewellery brand.

“Well, I love design; it’s something that I have always been attracted to,” she continued. “So when I look at the Aston Martin brand, I look at the design and everything that it has done; I am just really inspired by it.”

Conclusively, the tennis queen quoted the famous phrase associated with racing to complete her interview. She said, “And obviously, I do feel a need for speed. A girl needs a little speed in her life.”

On the road ahead, she could projectively face Danielle Collins, Petra Kvitova, and Aryna Sabalenka until pre-quarters. If Serena does not stop on her winning ways, she might face Naomi Osaka again in the semifinal, given the Japanese wins every match, too.

Anyway, the players and fans are thrilled to be playing the French Open 2021. Its main event will begin on May 30, and nobody will want to miss this from the start.
