Lando Norris is ahead of Daniel Ricciardo in Miami
The Woking base had a contrasting qualifying session with Lando Norris securing P8 while Daniel Ricciardo took P14. The Honey Badger spent most of his Q2 in the garage because of an issue with his MCL36. The English team later revealed the Aussie’s car had a gear shift issue.
However, the Honey Badger was disappointed with the Q2 elimination. Ricciardo mostly remained quiet when his team informed him about the P14 qualifying result for the Sunday race. The 32-year-old driver reported being upset about not being able to get out of the pits in time. But he hopes for a better performance on Sunday.

Ricciardo said, “It was unfortunate and cost us Q3, and that was that. We’ll hopefully get a bit better run tomorrow with a bit more fortune going our way and keep it going in a good way. Today, it was a bit unfortunate.”
Meanwhile, Ricciardo’s young teammate outperformed him, finishing P8. The starting grid position for the Miami GP gladdens the English driver, as he didn’t expect to do better. Norris said, “I’m happy with that. I think we’re in a decent position, and I don’t think we could have achieved much more.”
