The former American tennis star Serena Williams‘ husband Alexis Ohanian is a huge sports fan. Apart from following them, the 39-year-old loves collecting sports souvenirs as well. While the Reddit co founder has his own special collection of NFT cards, he also keeps an eye on the auction of sports goods. Recently, Ohanian shared interesting information regarding the auction of one of the special sports memory of the legendary boxer Muhammad Ali.

The world renowned professional boxing legend, Muhammad Ali, has left an indelible mark. And certainly, anything he touched during his playing days is worth a massive amount now. From hoards of items kept in his memory, one such thing takes the cake; the belt he earned after grinding, the WBC Heavyweight Championship Belt.

Alexis Ohanian took to his Twitter account to share the news regarding its auction price, along with the snap of the legendary belt. He captioned the post, “1970’s Muhammad Ali WBC Heavyweight Championship Belt Earned in Victory over George Foreman in the “Rumble in the Jungle” sold for $6,180,000 last summer. Wild. It’s a lot. But I get it.”

Ohanian himself has a good collection of NFT cards. The special ones, includes the Williams’ sisters; his wife Serena Williams and her sister Venus Williams. Recently, Ohanian managed to acquire a card that also has Olympia in it.

Back in 2017, Serena Williams did the unthinkable. The legendary American tennis star clinched her 23rd Grand Slam title. What makes it even more special is the fact that Serena won it while she was pregnant with Olympia.

Serena had an undefeated run in the tournament and didn’t drop a single set throughout her campaign. And claimed the title after defeating her sister, Venus Williams in the final. Alexis Ohanian shared his joy of getting a Serena Williams card from the Australian Open 2017. It’s special because Olympia is also present in the picture.

Earlier, Ohanian claimed Serena is the GOAT as she surpassed Steffi Graf’s 22 Grand Slam titles record while she was pregnant. However, the 41-year-old ended up one short of Australian tennis legend Margaret Court’s record of 24 Grand Slam titles.
