The American WTA star, Coco Gauff, has already made her mark among the top rising stars in the tennis realm. However, the 18 years old player is still making huge efforts to enhance her performance on the court. Notably, she recently opened up about adding a new activity to her pre-season training session. The sport of boxing is something that Gauff has been quite involved in, as a part of her training.
The former World No 4 player has previously trained with the boxing legend, Mike Tyson. However, Gauff revealed that she is not much of a fighter as she mocked her boxing skills. She further revealed that she took up the activity in order to win a Grand Slam title.

The American tennis player was recently featured in an interview where she talked about her upcoming second-round match against Emma Raducanu. Meanwhile, Coco Gauff opened up about her ambitions of winning a Grand Slam title. In order to do so, the 18-year-old player has added a new activity to her pre-season training – boxing.

The former World No 4 player further stated that her fitness trainer wanted her to box to improve her balance. Notably, she went down to a gym near her place where she lives in Florida. However, Gauff later revealed that she is not a fighter, even though she has trained in the past with the boxing legend, Mike Tyson. She, later on, mocked her boxing skills while talking about her brutal training sessions. Gauff stated, “If someone came up and punched me I would be out first punch!”

The WTA star also revealed that her pre-season training sessions took place in a proper gym. There were also professional fighters training and fighting in that gym. She revealed another hilarious incident of her boxing activity at the gym. Gauff said whenever anyone approached her to watch, she started talking really loud by saying, ‘yeah my tennis tournament’.
She did that so they can know she wasn’t a fighter. The American tennis star further wore her tennis gear to make the point that this is not what she does. Gauff added that her boxing instructor is a fighter who later praised her for making improvements in her training.
