40-year-old tennis megastar Serena Williams is one of the biggest sports personalities in the world. Sadly, she has not played professionally since July 2021.

Owing to a hamstring injury, Serena has been off the tour. Consequently, she had to miss out on the 2021 US Open as well as the 2022 Australian Open.

Nevertheless, the 23-time Grand Slam champion has certainly been active off the court. Most importantly, she’s also been spending time with her sister Venus Williams.

Serena Williams gets ready for dinner with Venus Williams

Serena Williams posted a string of videos on her social media as she prepared to meet her sister Venus Williams. However, she began the day feeling a little down, saying that she felt tired.

Moreover, she even had “two cups of coffee,” while admitting that she never indulges in caffeine. Nevertheless, the historic champion also used it as an opportunity to send out a positive message to her fans.

“If anyone else out there is having a slow day, it’s okay, we all have them,” Serena said. “We don’t always feel happy-pappy,” Williams expressed. “Don’t let it knock you down,” she advised.

Then, she proceeded to show fans her office, and the posters that adorn the walls of her “really cool place to work and be inspired”. Furthermore, she also gave fans a peek into the outfit she decided to wear for her evening dinner with her sister Venus Williams.

“I don’t generally like wearing white pants,” Serena said, showing off her pink sweater paired with white trousers. After that, she shared videos of her outing with Venus Williams. The two sisters attended a tequila tasting event.

“Let’s see if I’m here in the morning,” the Widowermaker joked, after which she and Venus shared a video sitting outside the event. “We just got bored,” Serena shared, as Venus chuckled.

No word yet on Serena’s return

Since her first-round injury against Aliaksandra Sasnovich at Wimbledon, Serena Williams has been off the tour. Her hamstring injury has since kept her away from professional tennis.

Moreover, it also resulted in Serena withdrawing from the US Open 2021, much to the sadness of fans. After all, the world would like nothing more than to see Serena win another Grand Slam, tieing Margaret Court’s all-time record.

Moreover, while many expected to see Serena finally return to the court for the 2022 Australian Open, they were treated to more bad news. Citing medical concerns, Serena also pulled out of the Australian Open.

Now, there is no clear window of return that Serena has provided to fans, but many do expect her to make a comeback for either Roland Garros or Wimbledon this year.
