Canadian tennis star Eugenie Bouchard has revealed her biggest life lesson.
Bouchard took an indefinite break from tennis to focus on her fitness and health.

While away from tennis, she was active on her social media handles, posting videos of her enjoying some downtime with her family members.

Answering some fan questions in a video, Bouchard said one lesson she has learned over the course of her career is that there’s no point trying to please everyone as it’s fruitless.
“Something I like to think about nowadays is (that) you can’t please everyone and I feel like maybe people can, kind of, make mistakes while trying to please everyone,” the Canadian tennis star said.

“We all have different opinions”: Bouchard
She added that since no two persons are similar and are often at variance in terms of their beliefs and opinions, it does no good trying to please everyone.
She said she has learned not to react to the opinions of others and just focus on her game.

“You are literally never gonna make everyone happy. You shouldn’t because we are different, we all have different opinions.
So, just don’t worry about it, don’t worry about what people think, don’t worry about their opinions because you’re just not gonna please everyone,” the 26-year-old Bouchard said.
Bouchard out of Top-100 in WTA singles rankings
The Canadian’s long absence from tennis has seen her drop out of the Top-100 in the WTA singles rankings. She currently sits at a lowly 140th place in the players’ standings.

Bouchard, who made the Wimbledon final as well as the semifinal of the French Open in 2014, ruled herself out of a clutch of tennis events, including Grand Slams, to regather her strength and fitness and work on her game.

However, her break from tennis led many to question her commitment to the game. After the highs of 2014, she suffered a significant dip in form, losing to lower-ranked players. It led to chatter of her ending up as another Anna Kournikova.

She played the qualifiers to the Australian Open this year but lost to Italian Martina Trevisan.
She did make the third round of the French Open but lost to eventual champion Iga Swiatek in straight sets.
