Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa never fail to make rounds in the tennis world. The power couple, who have been romantically linked since 2023, love pampering each other with moral support. So much so that the ‘Greek God’ of tennis has now made an adorable decision to stay back in Cincinnati.

Tsitsipas entered the hardcourt event with high hopes and a zeal to dig deep. However, despite battling against all odds, his dream run came down crashing in the second round. The Greek was shown the door by Jack Draper after putting up a commendable three-set performance against the American pro. Nevertheless, the former World No. 3 hasn’t left the Cincy grounds just yet. Reason? He’s practicing to restore his form ahead of the US Open and also, maybe to give a shot at cheering on his lover Paula Badosa.

Badosa has been making waves all week at the WTA 1000 Masters tournament. After successfully thrashing formidable challenges to work her way up to the semifinals, the Spanish talent is now scheduled to lock horns with Jessica Pegula on Sunday, August 18. Though her impressive showdowns have spelled out what fans can expect of her whilst playing against the home favorite, having her boyfriend’s support can likely lend Badosa a friendly voice from the stands. And, chances are, Stefanos Tsitispas will show up for her contest.

Merely a few days back, the couple was spotted hand-in-hand after being involved in a stretching session. The adorable moment was later captured and posted on X, showing the lovebirds spending quality time in the gym. It wasn’t the first time they were seen pampering themselves in a joint session. In January also, at the Australian Open, the duo was involved in a post-match recovery routine.

However, while their touring adventures sound fun, there are some downsides. Badosa notably encountered a challenging situation after the couple was scheduled to play alongside at the hardcourt event.

Commencing their hardcourt campaign, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa were scheduled to play their respective opening-round clashes on the adjacent Grand Stand. However, this caused significant trouble for the Spanish talent. Although she comfortably won the contest in straight sets, the 26-year-old later highlighted the difficulties of the arrangement during a post-match interview with the ‘Tennis Channel’. The Spaniard notably talked about losing her focus after her boyfriend lost the first set against his R1 opponent, Jan-Lenard Struff.

She said, “It’s not.. look, it’s not easy to play on Grand Stand and hearing his result all the time… There was a few times I was like, ‘Sh*t, he lost the set! Paula, focus. Focus on your match’…because you continue hearing him. Yeah, it was not easy playing at the same time.”

However, with Tsitsipas out of the tournament now, those issues will no longer prevail for Badosa. She can wholeheartedly focus on her semifinal showdown against the World No. 6 and hope to further her agenda ahead of the US Open.
