Amanda Anisimova has taken the tough road to tennis. After dealing with difficulties in life on the tennis tour, she is all set to fly high with her coach, Marc Lucero, and shine with her victories. But the biggest question is: who is the former professional tennis player who is set to shine with his teaching skills after coaching Eugenie Bouchard? Let’s take a look at the new popular coach, who has grabbed a lot of attention in the past few years with his idol career revolving around tennis.
Marc Lucero has become a popular face in the coaching world since he entered into a partnership with the 22-year-old last year. In an interview with Tennis Channel, Anisimova praised her coach, “I love Mark. I started working with him last November, and I’ve really been enjoying it um he understands me as a player, as a person first. So that’s been really important to me and we have a good connection and yeah he’s a really good coach.”

At the same time, she also dwelled on how the knowledge that he carries is something that will be quite helpful to her and how their partnership has been going great since he joined her coaching team. She added, “I mean he’s done TV stuff, he knows tennis inside out, so I’ve been really enjoying our partnership together. I’m just excited for what’s to come he’s been patient with me with my injuries so that’s been really important.”
Moreover, for a brief period of time, he also coached the Canadian tennis player, Eugenie Bouchard, before joining hands with Anisimova. Before that, as a private coach, Lucero had worked with top local juniors in the San Diego area, including Lyndsay Kinstler. But do you know tennis was not his main forte?
