However, as the eldest of the Ruud siblings inherited his dad’s legacy in tennis, so did the youngest! Charlotte Ruud is following in her brother’s footsteps as she entered the ITF circuit last year. But the 18-year-old sister of the French Open finalist is taking things step by step, as she simultaneously focuses on representing the ‘Green and Gold’ at the University of South Florida. 

When Casper Ruud claimed the biggest title of his career till now at the Barcelona Open, the Norwegian player celebrated not only his win but also the 18th birthday of his youngest sister ‘It’s a big day.‘. Consequently giving rise to curiosity among the fans about the tennis journey of Charlotte. Currently, the young collegiate is representing the Women’s Tennis team at the University of South Florida. 

The prestigious University of South Florida not only has a dedicated program in the South Florida Bulls for both men’s and women’s tennis, but it also has the oldest women’s tennis team. And now Charlotte is a part of this renowned institution!

This would certainly a provide big boost to the capabilities of the youngest Ruud siblings. The collegiate teams are frequent participants of the American Athletic Conference with NCAA Division I, providing the platform as well as expertise to grow! 

However, Charlotte is eager to break into the top brass, as she is leaving no stone unturned. Sometime back, she had also joined the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca, Spain, to train with the best. As the youngest Ruud focuses on her tennis, she has also makes sure to enjoy every moment, and especially when she is at he tournament to support her big brother!

All the eyes were on Casper Ruud as the World No.7 led his nation to their first ever United Cup Victory. However, his sisters stole the gaze of tennis fans with a candid yet fun loving moment. As Charlotte and their cousin Josefine were on their way to support Ruud, the two decided to strut like models as they walked down the way, unaware of the camera’s presence.

And what followed next surprised everyone! The pair walked down path and owned it like professional models, matching step-by-step with each other. Though while ending their walk, Charlotte grows shy as she notices a camera observing their steps! However, it certainly turned out a moment that brought smiles to everyone’s faces. 

Undoubtedly with fun and hard work Charlotte would get a breakthrough at the WTA circuit sooner than later!
