American tennis stars Coco Gauff and Frances Tiafoe are two of the brightest prospects for the country. While Gauff amazed everyone from day one, Tiafoe gradually made a name for himself; right now they are preparing for the upcoming Australian Open. And to lighten the spirits, the American duo engaged in friendly banter while playing against each other. The match was a charity event to raise funds for the affected people in the Ukraine-Russia conflict.
Frances Tiafoe and Coco Gauff engage in a friendly mid-match banter
Frances Tiafoe and Coco Gauff are longtime friends and share a good equation. The duo faced each other in a mixed doubles match. Tiafoe paired up with Ukrainian tennis star Marta Kostyuk while Gauff was on the opposite end. Kostyuk was visibly bored as she sat down on the court while Tiafoe and Gauff had a fun-filled rally. Teasing Gauff, Tiafoe said, “Coco, I’ll break you down.”

To which a confident Gauff replied, “I’ll win this rally, bro.”
Gauff further added, “My backhand to your forehand, I can take this all day. You aren’t beating this, Frances.”
While Tiafoe continues teasing Gauff, to which the teenager added, “I waited my whole life for this. I don’t miss like you, bro! I ain’t missing!!”

The rally ended as Tiafoe hit one straight into the nets, and Gauff claimed the point. Later, the official Twitter handle of the Australian Open also shared the video of the incident.
Gauff lauded Tiafoe after his win over Rafael Nadal
Coco Gauff and Frances Tiafoe share a great friendship bond and the compatriots back each other in their matches. Last year, while both were playing in the US Open, Tiafoe preyed on the Spanish tennis giant as he defeated Rafael Nadal.

Wishes poured in for the American, and Gauff also came with a special post dedicated to her friend. Gauff wrote, “BIG FOEEEEEEE YOU DESERVE IT ALLLLLLLLL.”
Tiafoe had a dream run in the US Open and he made it to the Semifinal before losing out to the eventual champion, Carlos Alcaraz. Gauff also had a wonderful run in the tournament and made it to the quarterfinals.
