‘Trained to Expect From Reality TV’- Months After Watching Netflix’s ‘Break Point’, Venus Williams Dishes Out the Lacking Spice of the Tennis Docuseries

Venus Williams, a tennis great is no stranger to reality shows. The 7-time grand slam champion has her own taste when it comes to watching reality shows.

Recently, in an interview, Venus opened up about her taste and review of ‘Break Point’, a recently introduced series by Netflix. The series takes a look at the underdogs in the tennis world and their struggles to reach the top of their game and make a name for themselves. Here’s what Venus said about the series.

Venus Williams shares her opinion on ‘Break Point’

In a recent question and answers session held by Venus Williams, she shared insight on multiple things. From fashion to fitness to her return, she gave answers to whatever her fans asked. One among them was a question asked about ‘Break Point’. Replying to this, Venus said that she has watched the series as soon as it came out and definitely liked the story of the series.

“Of course, I watched it as soon as it came out what did I think um I thought that it was a nice story not super explosive or anything, and quiet as it’s kept I love gossip and I you know do like a little reality so I thought it was quite calm and you know is it good or bad that I was hoping for like some really intense situations that’s what I’ve been trained to expect from reality TV it’s not my fault,” said Venus in the video.

However, she also suggested that she expected the story to be a bit explosive and intense because that is what she has always seen or expected from reality shows. However, these are her personal opinion and can change depending on a person’s taste.

Break Point features prominent names in the tennis world

The series Break Point gives an insight into the lives of players playing in different parts of the world and features some of the biggest names in tennis. Nick Kyrgios, Matteo Berrettini, Paula Badosa, and Taylor Fritz, are just some popular names that featured in the series.

The first episode featured Nick Kyrgios and his journey to stardom in tennis. However, there are many who are of disbelief that he should not have been in the first episode citing that he is one of the most controversial players, and displaying him in the first episode itself could take all the kids away who want to inspire by this series.
