What makes a better coach? Serena Williams’ former tennis coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, has the answer to this question, after being a telescope for more than two decades now. Recently, he talked about what made him different from other tennis coaches, and what made him touch heights and create tennis giants of all time. 

The 52-year-old tennis coach spent 10 years of his coaching career, shaping the 23-time Grand Slam champion’s career into what she is today. After that, the French coach also worked with tennis stars like Stefanos Tsitsipas and Coco Gauff.

What makes Patrick Mouratoglou different from other coaches?

The French tennis player recently took to his Instagram account to share a video of his vision that made him one of the best tennis coaches in the world and how he made a cut above the rest. And in that video, he talked about how he always got lucky and had good connections with the player, and even managed their ego and tough personalities.

In that video, he addressed saying, “I was great at what most of the coaches are not great at. So, I was great at having a good energy with the player, being so motivated and connecting with the player. And I was idealizing the players. So, for me they are gods. I was very positive with them, not positive in talking, but I was seeing them as great. That help me a lot, I got lucky. That was important… The connection with the player is the key.”

Further, the American tennis legends former coach also talked about how it doesn’t matter whether you have a 12-year-old tennis player or a 50-year-old tennis star, and how somewhere down the lying you face the same problems. 

Moreover, captioned the video, “Some simple thoughts that you can follow to become successful in coaching.” Assisting other new coaches in some ways as they make their way through the coaching field Additionally, he has put other tennis coaches through fierce competition, but with the 23-time Grand Slam champion, the French tennis court has unquestionably made his way into the tennis world.
