Rafael Nadal offered his congratulations to his rival and friend, Novak Djokovic. He shared the message after the latter clinched his 22nd Grand Slam title. With the win, the Serb tied Nadal’s record and has kept the race to be considered the greatest of all time (GOAT) alive. Despite an early exit from the Australian Open due to a painful injury, Nadal took to his Instagram to show his appreciation for Djokovic’s accomplishment. Throughout his career, the Spaniard has often battled pain and injury. However, the last few months have been especially difficult with a painful and severe abdominal injury. It is uncertain how much longer Nadal will be able to continue due to the strain on his body.
