Paula Badosa had once said that Stefanos Tsitsipas is “pretty romantic.” But how romantic was the question? And finally, we may have an answer to it as the couple sneaked away on a weekend, to ring her 27th year with a special surprise. If one happens to scroll through her social media posts, one would see her standing in a beautiful black dress, beside a five-tier tennis cake, complete with,“ Happy Birthday Paulita!” However, on her birthday getaway surprise, there was one feature that vowed the Spaniard to a great extent; even surprising her Greek boyfriend!
On her special day, Stefanos Tsitsipas had an elaborate surprise planned for Badosa. And her being busy at the Billie Jean King Cup certainly helped the Greek star in keeping it under wraps. On Sunday, the couple, along with a few people (maybe her friends), flew in a helicopter to the getaway destination in Monaco. In the stories shared by Tsitsipas on his Instagram account, the couple can be seen flying to their stay; confessing love for each other, before Badosa went on to confess falling in love with a feature in their room!
In the video shared, Badosa said, “I had the best birthday weekend ever.” Before going around their room to show her best features, the Greek star expressed his happiness about it. While Badosa was busy navigating through the room, to show everyone “her favorite spot of the room,” Tsitsipas tried to persuade her not to do so. He said, “You don’t need to show them. They know already.” However, there was no stopping the determined woman as she finally showed everyone the spot she fell in love with.

She said, “You and then after Jacuzzi!” In response, Tsitsipas went on to reveal some insider details about Badosa’s love with the Jacuzzi. “Ohhhh, someone likes the Jacuzzi. Yeah, Paula was spending half of the day in there. I have never seen someone fall in love with a Jacuzzi to that extent,” – he remarked. And Badosa just had one thing to say: “I love it!”
Furthermore, Badosa, too, gave her followers a peek into her birthday celebration. She shared a post on her Instagram account, enjoying the beautiful weather from her balcony. Followed by her walking beside the jacuzzi, in the bathrobe, and finally, her Badosa and Tsitsipas together standing beside the tall cake. Thanking everyone who made her day special, she said, “Bday weekend didn’t disappoint 🥰 thanks to everyone that made it so special.”

“It has been a roller coaster year,” said Badosa, a few days ago at the BJK Cup. Rightly so. The Spaniard was on the verge of quitting tennis, as her rankings plummeted to World No.140, in the 3rd week of May. Suffering from chronic back injury, doctors advised Badosa to give up. Recalling the sad times, Badosa opened up about how much Stefanos Tsitsipas’ support during the time helped her in reversing the tough and making a terrific comeback. Strong enough to lead Spain at the BJK Cup.
She said, “I will never forget it. I wasn’t well; I wasn’t where I wanted to be. I told him: I think I’m going to give up this year because I don’t see myself coming back. And he looked at me as if I was crazy and said: But you’ll be in the top 10 again soon… He empathizes a lot and has been there in almost all my bad moments. We have something very special: we admire each other. Hearing those words from a great athlete like him motivates me. Having a partner who believes in you helps.”
Stefanos Tsitsipas wasn’t wrong about it. The Spanish sensation is World No.12 right now, fresh off a good stint at the BJK Cup. And basking in love, as she comes out of her birthday weekend!
