Chris Evert and John McEnroe are two of the greatest tennis players of all time. They dominated the tour in their era, with multiple major titles to their names. The two legends still share an amazing camaraderie. So, it didn’t come as a surprise when both of them were seen partying together in a throwback Instagram post that Evert shared on her page.

The American tennis legends, Evert and McEnroe, ruled the court in their own ways from the 70s to the late 90s, especially in the case of McEnroe.

McEnroe and Evert – legends of the sport with distinct personalities 

Evert took to her Instagram account to reminisce about one particular moment from her past. She expressed herself as she penned a few words about McEnroe, her long-time friend and current co-host. “In how many careers do you get to work with the same people for so many years… and changing contexts?” read the caption of the post.

Evert was always poised and calm as she thrashed her opponent. She was even dubbed “Poker Face” and “Ice Maiden” because she never showed her opponent her emotions. On the other hand, McEnroe was always known for his aggressive nature and has been known to express his emotions quite strongly on the court. His on-court antics bought him the name ‘Superbrat’.

Despite having very different personalities, they have formed a great partnership as analysts after their retirement.

Chris Evert and the ‘Superbrat’ continue to share the spotlight

Evert and McEnroe work as ESPN tennis analysts, where they discuss a wide range of tennis-related topics. The tennis legends met with the media two weeks ago to provide a preview of the US Open, including various aspects of Serena Williams, such as her impact, legacy, future, and chances at the US Open.

Apart from that, the tennis legends talked about Djokovic, Nadal, Venus Williams, Medvedev, Osaka, Fernandez, Federer, Alcaraz, and Felix Auger-Aliassime.

Evert currently runs a tennis and active apparel line in addition to being a commentator. She also held the position of Women’s Tennis Association’s president twice, from 1975 to 1976 and again from 1983 to 1991. McEnroe, on the other hand, has kept himself occupied in retirement by participating in senior tournaments on the ATP Championships tour and working as a TV commentator.
