The American tennis legend’s hitting partner, Sascha Bajin, revealed the answer in an exclusive interview with Essentially Sports where he put the tennis legend in the same elite bracket as other sports legends like Usain Bolt and Michael Phelps. 

Naomi Osaka’s former coach, who was also the 23-time Grand Slam Champion’s hitting partner, shares a good bond with the Williams sisters. Not only that, but he has also seen the growth, the run to the top, and how she achieved greatness with her determination and rigidness.

The German tennis coach in an interview with Essentially Sports revealed a lot of secrets about the William sisters. And also talked about how he can just write a book on the American tennis legend’s amazing career and become a millionaire overnight.

However, when asked about what was the hunger that made the 42-year-old tennis star, the greatest? He highlighted the fact that Williams was meant to be a tennis player all her life.  

He said, “I do believe that’s a certain god-given gift for her like she was meant to be a tennis player. Same as Usain Bolt was meant to be a runner. Michael Phelps was meant to swim, like if he was doing any other sport. He wouldn’t be that great. so I do believe people are born with a certain purpose. She found hers early in life while having also this amazing coach and her father who dedicated everything to her.”

Subsequently, he also credited King Richard for his constant support to his daughters. And talked about how his teachings helped her to be the greatest.

Bajin applauded Williams’ father, ‘King Richard’ 

In the same conversation, he also listed one more factor that made the 23-time Grand Slam Champions stand out among the rest. He highlighted that having a tennis parent like Richard Williams, who taught his daughters to be fearless is something that no other tennis parent has ever taught to their children.

He added, “While having also this amazing coach and her father, who dedicated everything behind her. And raised them from a young age to never doubt themselves, to always believe in themselves, to always play to win not to lose, never be afraid.”

Not only that, the 38-year-old tennis coach praised King Richard. Previously, the 18-time Grand Slam champion, Chris Evert also stated that the American coach’s grit and dedication to coach his daughters like true champions was something that raised the bar for every tennis parent.
