Can love survive the grueling demands of professional sports, as seen with Badosa and Tsitsipas?

Managing personal life and professional commitment is not as easy as it seems. While many might debate, Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas‘ current situation has forced fans to see the heart-wrenching reality of athletes. These lovebirds, separated by tournaments, are staying 1087 miles apart. While they know they have dreams to chase, Badosa and Tsitsipas are lifting each other’s spirits with cute social media banters. Amidst playful interactions, Badosa drops a cheeky message for her beau showing how much she desires the Greek’s presence in her life.

Ranked eleven, Tsitsipas is an alternative player in the 2024 ATP Finals in Turin. This means the Greek needs to be ready for any possible call to replace an injured player. Tsitsipas’ presence in Turin is stopping the ATP star from attending his girlfriend Paula Badosa’s 2024 Billie Jean King Cup matches. Well, the situation impacted him. He expressed his feelings when the Real Federacion Espanola de Tenis tweeted a video of Badosa during her practice session for the upcoming tournament.

In the video, the Spanish player, near the court, suggested the BJK Cup’s official X team to ask her boyfriend to show off his “volleys in Malaga.” Tsitsipas noticed it and responded, “Would love to join, but I’m currently too busy in Turin… waiting… patiently… as an alternate.” Tsitsipas’ statement highlighted his sadness about missing Badosa’s matches against tough competitors like Iga Swiatek. Rules are rules, right!

The way she put the word “ALL” in caps showcased whether or not anyone else missed Tsitsipa, Badosa certainly did.

The ATP number 11 might not be present in Malaga but he surely knows how to lighten up his girlfriend’s mood. When the Real Federacion Espanola de Tenis shared a clip from Badosa’s practice session for the BJK Cup, Tsitsipas wrote in Spanish, “Did you know that you don’t have to pay tolls to get close to the network? (in translation)” His words didn’t make much sense in the context but they did the job and showcased his cute gesture for his girlfriend. The social media platform was stormed with their followers going “awww” over this adorable attempt. Not just Tsitsipas’ followers but the caption also caught Badosa’s attention and delighted WTA star who reshared it with a cheeky caption. “Stefane Stefane….” wrote Badosa with many ROFL emojis.
