Tennis players like Novak Djokovic, Daniil Medvedev, and Ben Shelton are some of the best in the world, often competing for the biggest trophies. But what if they never played tennis? Recently, a list of ATP players’ careers was reimagined in a hilarious meme that made use of their on-court celebrations and off-court activities. It immediately caught the attention of several fans and stars of yesteryear. Notably, the 18-time Grand Slam champion Chris Evert’s reaction to the same showcased the amusing nature of the post.

The ‘Ice Maiden’ Evert is one of the few renowned legends of the sport who remain active on social media, especially X (formerly Twitter). As soon as the meme went viral, it didn’t take long for the American legend to show her amusement.

Recently, the official X page of The Tennis Letter shared a meme reimagining tennis players’ jobs based on their on-court and off-court mannerisms. In that list, there were 8 tennis players with alternative careers, such as the Serbian tennis legend as a yoga instructor and Ben Shelton as a Call Center assistant.

While that meme was doing rounds on social media, WTA legend Chris Evert came across that same post  and commented with a series of laughing-out-loud emojis.

The jobs were not something that were actually alternative careers for the listed tennis players; they were something that was based on their match celebrations and hobbies. It was either something that they did on the tennis court or something that they were good at. Picking up an example of Djokovic, his fitness is well known in the tennis world, and thus he was set to be a yoga instructor.

Apart from the Djoker, there were pictures of Ben Shelton, Jannik Sinner, Daniil Medvedev, and Casper Ruud trying to pull off their different roles other than tennis. But did you know that some of the players listed on the meme opened up about their preferred career apart from tennis?

The 24-time Grand Slam champion once revealed how his professional career would’ve gone if he weren’t a tennis star. In the same way, the 25-year-old American, Taylor Fritz, also had a different career option than the one listed on the list.

When Novak Djokovic revealed his alternative career

A few years ago, the current world number one and Andy Murray went live on Instagram, where both answered a lot of fan questions. In that conversation, there was a time when the two answered the question regarding their alternative career options. The Serb was the first one to answer. He highlighted how he would probably still be a part of this sport as he comes from a family of athletes.

And apart from that, he also listed that he was actually a science freak, so he could have been some sort of scientist, if not a player. Subsequently, just a few days ago, Murray also revealed how he could have been into fashion and modeling while bringing his other passion to light.
