The show must go on! For tennis stars, the journey is far from over. With the clay courts of Roland Garros behind them and the Olympics bidding adieu for another four years, the excitement and anticipation continue to build. The focus now shifts to the American hard-court swing, promising new challenges and thrilling matches. And Anna Kalinskaya and Naomi Osaka are already giving fans an intimate glimpse into their next venture.
It brings a lot of hope and enthusiasm for tennis stars as the season progresses. And the excitement is clearly evident amongst the tennis fans. Japanese tennis star Osaka and Jannik Sinner’s girlfriend Kalinskaya are among the influential names at the American hard-court swing as they resonate with anticipation.
Taking to her Instagram on Sunday, Osaka shared pictures of herself from Ontario, Toronto. We can see her walking onto the hard courts of Canada and flaunting her glamorous red attire. But Osaka not only wants to restrict this campaign to the tennis courts. Ahead of her match against Ons Jabeur on August 6, the 26-year-old shared pictures of savoring some delicious delicacies in the Canadian city. Captioning her photographs, the 4-time Grand Slam winner wrote, “Toronto summer24.” And to join in camaraderie is the Russian sensation, Kalinskaya.

Kalinskaya also shared a picture of a beautiful morning from Canada as she gears up to face one qualifier on Tuesday. Taking to her Instagram story, she shared a snap of Toronto City and wrote, “GM🌞.” The upcoming campaign is crucial for both the star players.
Osaka and Kalinskaya have failed to win significantly in the recently concluded tournaments. The Japanese star conceded a defeat in the first round of the Paris Olympics against Germany’s Angelique Kerber. Besides, Emma Navarro handed her a baffling defeat at Wimbledon in the second round. And as she eyes the US Open where she has clinched two singles titles, the campaign is crucial for her to shine. For Kalinskaya, the challenge is even more fierce.
The Russian sensation did not participate in the Olympics after her Wimbledon campaign ended with an injury. Playing against Elena Rybakina in the round of 16, she sustained a wrist injury. Notably, she looks forward to coming out of injury in Toronto. In order to surpass her previous records at the US Open, Kalinskaya must perform exceptionally well. With the WTA stars eyeing big in Canada, one of the fierce competitors they are facing is Bianca Andreescu.

The Canadian tennis star has achieved tremendous success on the hard courts. While it has been a long time since 2019, when she won the Toronto Open and the US Open, Andreescu is certain of her success once again.
Speaking in a recent interview, Andreescu revealed her desire to shine brightly, stating, “We’re hoping to bring those vibes back. I’m feeling my tennis, I’m feeling good physically. That’s all I can ask for. I’m very excited.” Continuing further, she seemed to warn her opponents in Canada. “I’m a perfectionist, so I feel like I can always improve. If I’m on, I know I can beat anybody,” she said, per The Canadian Press.

This confidence of the 24-year-old can prove to be disquieting for Osaka, as well as Kalinskaya, as the tournament ultimately progresses. While the Canadian player has a head-to-head tally of 1-1 against Osaka, she is leading it with 1-0 against Kalinskaya.
As the tournament evolves, it would be interesting to see if the two can outshine the confidence of the Canadian tennis star and win big to boost their confidence ahead of the US Open.
