In Pictures: New Mum Maria Sharapova Teases an Unexpected Partnership With American Tennis Hall of Famer

Maria Sharapova might be up to something really interesting. Recently the tennis star posted a teaser on her Instagram that has led fans to believe that she is working on something new. Sharapova posted a couple of pictures with a tennis legend and left the caption open-ended for fans to interpret. The pictures were shot in Malibu, California as per the location on them.

Sharapova met with John McEnroe. Looks like the two are working on a collaboration together. However, Maria did not spill the beans on the full details yet. In the meantime, fans have been gushing over the pictures of the two tennis legends together.

In the pictures with McEnroe, Sharapova is holding a camera. The duo is having a fun time and from the looks of it- candid conversations along the Malibu beach. McEnroe looks particularly cheerful in all the slides. There are also pictures of Maria in a hotel room with what looks like a script in her hand. The picture is in black and white and the details aren’t clear.

Maria has teased her fans enough with the caption to the post. She says, “Coming soon to a subscription near you with John McEnroe 📽️💥😂🙉”. This indicates that what they’re collaborating on is not a movie but something like a web-series. With Netflix’s much-awaited tennis documentary “Break Even” releasing on the 6th, tennis enthusiasts might need to clear their schedules for another binge-watch soon.

The fourth slide is the most endearing of all. Sharapova and McEnroe are seen in a heartwarming embrace. Without a doubt, this picture has become a new favorite for both McEnroe and Sharapova fans. With the second last and last slides, McEnroe fans are in for a treat.

Maybe in whatever is cooking behind the scenes, we will  have a chance to witness McEnroe’s power shots all over again. The tennis legends are captured shooting on court with McEnroe in his sportswear.

Tennis legends take a tennis class for the professional hairstylist on set

John McEnroe and Maria Sharapova are also gearing up their hairstylist on set- Adir Abergel with some tennis moves. Abergel focused on learning from the best and tried his hand at a few moves. During one shot he almost hit his trainers. Later, he posted this video on his Instagram handle and fans had a good laugh.

While both Sharapova and McEnroe are two pillars of history to the tennis world, they have always been dynamic personalities. In time, we hope to see what storm these two former world no. 1s are brewing.
