Eugenie Bouchard called out tennis fans for their double standards. While Bouchard once delighted fans with her knack for fashion and glamor on the court, she took a vocal stand for the discrimination WTA players face from the fraternity. Referring to colleague Jack Draper’s comment on Vogue, Bouchard pointed out how the response would have been much more intense if it came from her.

Bouchard shared her comment on a post mentioning Jack Draper’s love for the camera. The British ATP star told Vogue that he likes being in front of the camera and posing for photos. Reading this tweet, Bouchard wrote, “If I had said this 10 years ago I would have been crucified.” The Canadian tennis player also added a laughing emoji to Draper’s comment.

Bouchard’s statement refers to the 6-fit 4-inch IMG represented star Draper’s comment, where he also mentioned that he doesn’t mind changing his looks for the camera as he had confidently tried a buzzcut, mohawk, mullet.” This Surrey-born ATP star prioritized his looks and further saidIf I’m looking good, that is.”

Bouchard’s statement highlighted how male and female players are treated differently by the fraternity. Morgado came out to back Bouchard’s statement as he said, “Well… I see no lies here.” Open Court author Stephanie Myles further chimed in, She’s not wrong. And tbh most of the female players saying it NOW would be, too.”

Bouchard is also an integral part of the WTA as she glamorized the sport. The Canadian beauty star is also remembered with the Williams sisters, Anna Kournikova and Maria Sharapova, for amalgamating fashion with tennis.

Eugenie Bouchard’s knack for fashion was motivated by Anna Kournikova. Previously, in April, Bouchard shared Kournikova’s images from The Tennis Lookbook’s post and wrote,“The tennis it girl consider me influenced.” This Canadian WTA star dazzled at the Challengers LA premiere and delighted her fans with her glamorous look.
