Christopher Eubanks received plenty of applause from the tennis fraternity during his dream Wimbledon run. The 27-year-old managed to trigger two upsets and make his way into the quarter-finals before eventually falling to Daniil Medvedev. His story has arguably been the highlight of this year’s Wimbledon so far and many former and current players got behind the American.

From Naomi Osaka to Coco Gauff, plenty of tennis players showed their support for the tall man. Amidst all, Eubanks received a heartfelt message from Serena Williams‘ former hitting partner, Jamere Jenkins. The former American player is now a part of Gauff’s team which was present in Eubanks’ box during his quarter-final.

Jenkins reflected back to their early days in Atlanta and appreciated Eubanks’ growth. He was in awe of the 27-year-old’s journey. He said on Instagram, ” What an incredible journey Banks. From our childhood days in Atlanta to now gracing the world stage of tennis, it’s been a privilege to witness your growth and success. These past weeks at Wimbledon, you’ve not only showcased your extraordinary skills but also ignited a passion for tennis in the hearts of countless young players back home. Your impact goes beyond the court, inspiring dreams and instilling a love for the game.

Jenkins then went on to acknowledge the person Eubanks is off the court, He further added, “Chris, you’re not just an exceptional athlete, but a remarkable human being. I’m honored to have you as a friend, a brother, and a source of constant motivation.

The Americans backed Eubanks throughout the tournament. A certain American went one step further by featuring in his box in fact.

Coco Gauff and her team in Christopher Eubanks’ box

Coco Gauff was spotted in Eubanks’ box twice this year. During his round four victory over Stefanos Tsitsipas and the quarter-final against Daniil Medvedev, Gauff’s team showed their support to Eubanks. Her unending support towards her fellow countryman was heartwarming for the fans. Gauff’s own journey had come to an end in the first round but the 19-year-old stayed back for her doubles and of course to get behind Eubanks.
