As the young ATP Czech tennis player will next face Jannik Sinner in the Miami Open quarterfinal, his fiance, on the other hand, faced an early exit in the tournament but is quite well known in the doubles category, having achieved more than seven Grand Slam titles with Krejcikova. In a conversation with the tennis channel, the 23-year-old opened up about whether his fiance helps him with any doubles advice or not.

He stated, “She’s a great player, especially in doubles, I think the results can speak about itself, so I don’t know she breaking the records every week in double. So, I for sure I got some advice but uh let’s say I won the tournament and for her, it’s no issue for me, let’s say so yeah. She helps me a lot.”

In addition, Machac stressed that his fiancée, a former world doubles champion, has achieved notoriety and broken records on her own and is a great resource for tennis guidance and support. He emphasized the depth of their bond, pointing out that their mutual appreciation of the game enables them to encourage one another in good times and bad.

Further, their ability to see each other’s games better strengthens their relationship and helps them succeed both on and off the court. However, after making noise in Miami after reaching the quarterfinal, he also opened up about believing in himself.

He stated, “I’m starting to believe in myself a little bit. It’s not easy, you need to work, work work.”

Not only that, while working on your physical health is quite important, it’s also the mental battle that you have to deal with after every game, especially after every defeat, to get back. He added, “Even if you lose three matches in a row, four matches in a row, you need to believe in yourself.” If he reaches the semi-finals, he can make it to the top 40 rankings, and even if that does not happen, he will surely be in the top 50 ATP rankings.
