Paula Badosa dances to the rhythm of her own heartbeat, proving that the love for movement runs in her veins. While the passion for dance traces back to her father, it’s not quite the same story for her boyfriend, Stefanos Tsitsipas. The Greek tennis star may be good with the racquet in his hand, but when it comes to dancing, he falls a bit short. Recently, Badosa humorously rated her boyfriend Tsitsipas’ dancing skills.

Badosa has reached her first-ever US Open quarterfinal after a commanding victory over China’s Yafan Wang. At just 26 years of age, Badosa’s journey has been anything but easy. A stress fracture in her back had doctors suggesting early retirement, a daunting prospect for someone so young. However, Badosa’s determination and resilience have kept her on the court, with regular cortisone injections helping her manage the pain.

In addition to her tennis prowess, Paula Badosa finds solace in dancing, a hobby she uses to relieve stress and lift her spirits. While her boyfriend, Stefanos Tsitsipas, might need to brush up on his dance moves, Badosa genuinely enjoys the activity and the joy it brings her. She mentioned how dancing helps her unwind and maintain a positive outlook, providing a much-needed escape from the pressure of professional sports.

The Spaniard stated, “Yes, that so, but that refers to My dad was a dancer also. So at home, we always danced, and it’s a part of me that I really enjoy. It’s a hobby, and even when I’m nervous or when I’m bored or in any situation, I just put music and I dance, and it makes me feel much better.”

Further, Badosa was asked about her boyfriend’s dancing skills. To which, she said, “It still has to improve. We’re getting there. We’re getting there. But practicing—yes, sometimes we practice, but he has to improve.”

Last year, during the World Tennis League (WTL), Paula Badosa couldn’t help but chuckle at Stefanos Tsitsipas’ dance routines. The two were there as members of Team Kites alongside Aryna Sabalenka and Grigor Dimitrov, in the event which was a fusion of tennis, glitz, and entertainment. With musical performances from 50 Cent, Neyo, and Akon adding to the atmosphere, Badosa and Tsitsipas took to the dance floor, where Badosa’s amusement at Tsitsipas’ dance moves quickly became the highlight. She later shared a video, still laughing at the memory.

The Greek stated, “It went amazing. It went amazing. I mean, it’s a pure pleasure to be sharing with not just Paula but someone that, you know, I’ve been following for a few years. I mean, my favorite female tennis player.”

Subsequently, Badosa emphasized the positive influence Tsitsipas has had on her, both personally and professionally. She acknowledged how his presence has uplifted her, contributing to her growth on and off the court. While Tsitsipas is out of the US Open now, having lost to Kokkinakis, he would be cheering on her girlfriend who will take on Emma Navarro in the quarterfinals.
