Since there has been a lot of speculation around Maria Sharapova and whether she will ever make a comeback to tennis, she finally opened up about it on social media with the help of her current pickleball mentor John McEnroe. She posted a question-and-answer fun session on her Instagram account where her fans could ask her various questions about her personal as well as professional life but not to her, to John McEnroe. One of the fans asked John, “Can you convince Maria to make a comeback to tennis?”

John answered, “Umm we are gonna stick to pickleball for the moment.” This statement clearly shows that for now, Maria’s future at the tennis courts is a long shot. She is planning to focus more on pickleball and see what she can do there.
What’s more, Maria might also be a part of the Pickleball Slam as she focuses more on this sport professionally like she did with tennis.

Maria has joined forces with John McEnroe as her mentor to compete with Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi at Pickleball Slam 2 which is the second edition of the Pickleball Slam. It will take place next year in the month of February. The matches will be conducted in Florida at the Seminole Hardrock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood.
