In a captivating marketing stunt on Wednesday evening, two video projections of Roger Federer came alive on opposite towers of London Bridge. One displayed the modern champion, the other a young Federer honing his skills on the court. A clever optical illusion then unfolded: a tennis ball seemingly flew between the towers as a young Federer “rallied” with his present-day self. After this mesmerizing exchange, a large screen descended between the towers, revealing a trailer for the upcoming documentary. Tennis fans and players alike are left in awe of Roger!

In Tennis Channel’s 20th June Podcast, host Steve Weissman had a conversation with Eugenie Bouchard and Andy Roddick about London’s iconic Tower Bridge’s incredible advertisement of Federer’s latest docuseries. Showing her amusement, Bouchard said- “Roger’s the GOAT and GOAT’s doing GOAT things. This is so beautiful, this is so cool. I wonder how this even works. He is such a legend and you know he deserves nothing less than a masterpiece like this and a great setting.”

Eugenie Bouchard said her admiration towards Federer can’t be “replicated by anyone” 

After Federer’s retirement, Bouchard was asked by an interviewer about her feelings following the young generation looking up to her. In her response, Bouchard delighted the audience as she paid a great tribute to her idol Roger Federer with her response.

Well, I mean, the way I look at Roger, I don’t know if it can be replicated by anyone. If there are kids that look up to me, I’ve always said this throughout my career: It’s just an honor”- Bouchard said. She was also among those tennis players who shared Federer’s image with Rafa from the Laver Cup tour in 2022 to remember the Swiss former legend’s incredible professional career in tennis.

In 2021, Bouchard remained off-court since the March Monterrey Open as she suffered a shoulder injury. While sitting idle, she went on an Instagram live with the Tennis Channel and answered a few questions. As Steve Weissman asked her about her dream hitting partner, the Federer fan in Eugenie Bouchard screamed in joy. “A current player, I mean I would just want to hit with Roger. I’m the biggest Federer fan”- said Bouchard.
