Is Ayan Broomfield the next Serena Williams in the making? Tennis fans are buzzing!

We’ve all seen Serena Williams‘ stunning wardrobe collection on display. During her two-decade-long career, the American star finessed fashion styles in the most iconic ways possible. For instance, take her final appearance at the US Open in 2022. Williams wore an all-black Nike outfit, housing miniature diamonds all over her livery, and her shoes. But what happens when another personality replicates her ensemble? Well, that is exactly what has crazed fans.

Williams attended the US Open as a fan on Saturday, August 31, for the first time since quitting the sport two years ago. While this was a headline in itself, the American caught the New York crowd’s attention for another reason. Electrifying Flushing Meadows, the 42-year-old rocked the event with a denim skirt, notably a similar design to what she wore during her performance at the Slam’s 2004 edition. However, there’s a catch.

Later that evening at a Grey Goose event, Frances Tiafoe‘s girlfriend, Ayan Broomfield, also wore an identical denim skirt. After the duo glazed the Grey Goose event with their appearance, the highly popular Vodka label took to their social media to post their snaps. Naturally, twinning with Williams does account for something.

The No. 20, who is currently in action at the hard court Slam, is frequented by his lover, Bloomfield, who is an inactive tennis player and regularly cheers him on every step of the way. While her resume isn’t as impressive as Tiafoe’s and has her “foot in everything with tennis without being on court”, the Canadian’s apparel is on point. This, in turn, has sent the tennis world into a frenzy.

Tennis fans take notice of Frances Tiafoe’s girlfriend’s outfit matching Serena Williams

One user pointed out “twinning with Serena!” while another user questioned, “How come you have on the same outfit as Serena?”. One passionate tennis fan heaped praises on Broomfield and Williams’ impressionable outfits saying, “Serena has the same outfit as your gal – both women look stunning in it”.

Have an interesting take?

While this can all be a mere coincidence, chances are the Canadian outfit matched the former World No. 1 for one of many reasons. Simply put, Broomfield could be having a fan-girl moment. That could make sense, considering that the 27-year-old shares a connection with the retired American pro owing to her appearance on ‘King Richard’ movie.

The biopic showcases how Richard Williams, the father of Serena Williams and Venus Williams, shaped their careers from their nascent days. Notably, Broomfield appeared as a body double in a few scenes of King that involved Venus’s matches. Moreover, while talking to ‘Vogue’, she also highlighted her life-changing experience working on the biopic. “That was one of the main things in my life that changed for me, and I realized I can use tennis to be in the entertainment field.”

Meanwhile, one user was hoping to verify if the American star girlfriend’s “twinning” with Williams happened on the same day, and if so, then the tennis world “need a picture” of them together. Later, another fan enthusiastically remarked that Broomfield wore “the Serena skirt”.

While all this sounds fascinating, Broomfield will likely direct her focus onto her boyfriend’s upcoming contest in New York. Tiafoe is slated to face Novak Djokovic slayer – Alexei Popyrin, in the event’s fourth round on Monday, September 2.
